Therapy Dog

One of the unique features of my counselling service is that I can where required work with a therapy dog, Oreo. He is a friendly and gentle Cocker Spaniel who loves to interact with children and adults alike. He has been trained and provides emotional support and comfort to people who are experiencing stress, anxiety, trauma, or other mental health issues.

Research has shown that animal-assisted therapy can have many benefits, such as reducing blood pressure, improving mood, enhancing social skills, and increasing self-esteem. Oreo can help create a safe and relaxing environment for clients to express their feelings and explore their challenges. He can also offer a sense of companionship and unconditional acceptance that can foster trust and rapport.

Oreo and I work as a team to provide effective and compassionate counselling for individuals and groups. I am qualified and registered with the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP) and adhere to their ethical framework. We are also fully insured and have up-to-date health checks and vaccinations.

If you would like to meet Oreo and find out how he can make a positive difference to your well-being, please get in touch with me on the contact details below or drop me a message @Adrian Murray I look forward to speaking to you.
